TecReports Ltd is a well established progressive company based at Bretby near Burton on Trent providing nationwide first class Motor Vehicle Insurance Assessing & Loss adjusting services to large insurers and blue chip companies.

Due to our continued success an exciting opportunities have become available for “Full Time office based Engineers & Assessors” based at a satellite office in Colchester. Working Monday - Friday & perhaps some Saturday Mornings if required. Starting off on a temporary trial basis the job is permanent for the right person after a qualifying period.

You will have a good understanding of motor vehicles with mechanical and/ or bodyshop experience, perhaps with IAEA or IMI qualification or prepared to work toward such qualifications. Knowledge of Audatex and other computerised estimating systems is essential. ATA accreditation is a distinct advantage. Ideally you will be currently working as an Engineer/ Assessor, most likely from a bodyshop management or estimators position.

Initially, working as part of a team and closely liaising with clients you will be required to value vehicles correctly & fairly using Glass’s Guide, carry out market research via Autotrader or other market comparables together with agreeing methods, costs and feasibility of repairs with repairers. You will be responsible for accurate reporting, good negotiation skills, I.T. literate, confident, outgoing and well mannered with excellent communication skills. You will be willing to learn and attend training courses when required and treat customers fairly at all times. You will be working as part of a team supported by excellent team members. You will identify your own training requirements and regularly progress your professional development.
